Moraira / Teulada on the Costa Blanca, Spain
Moraira is a small fishing village on the Costa Blanca in the northeast of the province of Alicante, in the comarca of Marina Alta, and belongs to the municipality of Teulada, which is 4 km inland. Villas of wealthy residents from all over Europe and Spain dominate the area. There is also a small old town that has retained its originality. Hotels are rather rare, and except for two apartment buildings with seven storeys, there are no high-rise buildings. The municipality tries to avoid mass tourism like in Calpe or Benidorm.
